PICK THE TRUTH is a party game created by Kern Pierre. This policy explains what information the game uses and why. The short version: you can play without an account, the game itself runs on your device, and we never sell your information.

Playing without an account

Player names and truths you type in stay on your device. They are not sent to us. The game saves a few settings on your device (your language, and which edition you have unlocked) so it works offline.

If you create an account

• Email address and password. Used to sign you in. Passwords are stored only as a salted, one-way hash, so nobody can read them.
• Sign-in session. A secure cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
• Host Pro data. If you use saved groups or game events, we store the group names, player names, categories and dates you save, so you can load them on any device.

Payments

• On the website, payments are handled by PayPal. We never see or store your card details. We keep a record of each order (amount, edition and status).
• In the mobile apps, purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and managed through RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. They share with us only what's needed to confirm which edition you own. Their own privacy policies apply to the payment itself.

What we don't do

We don't show ads, we don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share your personal information for marketing.

Where data is stored

Account data is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the game. Data may be processed outside your country.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time. Sign in, open My account, enter your password and tap Delete account. This permanently removes your email, password, saved groups and events. Order records are kept for accounting, but they're no longer linked to your email. Passes bought in a mobile app stay with your Apple or Google account.

Children

PICK THE TRUTH is meant for groups led by adults. Accounts are for people 18 and over. The optional SPICY category is for adults only and requires everyone playing it to confirm they are 18 or older.
